Warranty Policy

M/S Denji Motors Pvt. Ltd., a Company registered under the Companies Act, 2013 having its registered head office at Address SURVEY NO 367/ 7 /A PLOTE NO. 203/2/1, OPP SEPAL ELEGANT 4 ZUNDAL GANDHINAGAR, Zundal, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India, 382421 (Hereinafter referred to as “DIEV”) issue warranty policy to its user/customers, Outlining the manufacturer warranties offered by “DIEV” for the Vehicles and associated components produced by DIEV and bought by the Customer.

The contents of any catalog, advertisement, or similar publication should not be interpreted as altering, changing, or superseding anything stated within this Warranty Policy

This Warranty Policy outlines the limited warranties, duration of warranty coverage, and the relevant terms, conditions, remedies and exclusions.

1. Definitions

Within this Warranty Policy, the definitions provided in this clause will apply to the following words, unless their application is inconsistent with the context.

  • Battery: Battery that is provided with the vehicle
  • Normal Use: This entails (i) utilizing the Warranted Part(s) as intended for both rider and passenger on the Vehicle, along with appropriate safety gear as detailed in the User Manual, adhering to local regulations; (ii) exclusively charging the Battery with chargers provided by DIEV; (iii) adhering to the prescribed storage and usage guidelines outlined in the User Manual; and (iv) performing regular care and maintenance on the Warranted Part(s) as instructed in the User Manual, encompassing tasks specified in the Maintenance Matrix provided within the User Manual.
  • Vehicle: In the recitals, "as defined" refers to the DIEV two-wheeler models, specifically the all models excluding the Battery.
  • Warranted Part(s): means Frame, Hydraulic braking system, battery, controller, dc-dc converter, chassis/frame, motor and battery charger and does not cover any consumable parts like (but not limited to) rubber, plastic tyres, brake shoes, brake pads, bulb etc.
  • Warranty Period: for each warranted Part, the warranty period extends for the duration set forth herein, commencing from the date of the Vehicle's delivery to the Customer. This warranty remains in effect regardless of any subsequent change in Vehicle ownership during the warranty period.
  • User Manual: This refers to the manual that provides technical specifications, usage guidelines, and maintenance instructions for the Warranted Part(s), as well as a quick start guide. (Adherence to the recommended service schedule as stipulated in User Manual is mandatory to avail the warranty.)

2. Warranty Terms & Conditions

DIEV provides a limited warranty on select components under normal usage:

  • DIEV hereby warrants that, subject to the terms, conditions, and limitations set forth herein, the (i) frame and electronic components, including the (ii) motor (iii) DC-DC converter (iv) controller, shall be free from defects in materials or workmanship for a period of three (3) years or 50,000 kilometers, whichever occurs first, under normal use and service from the date of purchase. Furthermore, the (v) display (vi) battery charger and sensors are warranted to be free from defects in materials or workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase under normal use and service. Additionally, the vehicle's (vii) battery is warranted to be free from defects in materials or workmanship for a period of three(3) years or 50,000 kilometers or 1,500 charge cycles, whichever occurs first. Similar to any other rechargeable battery your vehicle’s battery will lose its charge capacity over a period of time, DIEV warrants that your battery will retain a capacity of 70% or higher for at least 1,500 charge cycles or 50,000 kilometers, whichever occurs first. DIEV disclaims any warranty coverage for parts that are subject to wear and tear due to their functionality, including (but not limited to) brake pads, disc brake rotors, tires, rims, light bulbs, rubber mountings, bushings, handle grips, bearings, and any upholstery work.
  • This warranty is limited to replacement or repair of the warranted components manufactured and sold by DIEV itself or through retail partners.
  • If found defective in material or workmanship during the warranty period under normal usage, which will be judged solely by the DIEV team.
  • Any part replaced under warranty becomes the property of the DIEV (ref. to note i).
  • Only company genuine parts are to be used to replace any defective part under warranty.
  • When a part is to be replaced under warranty, the smallest sub-assemblies /child part / parts possible must be used.
  • Parts repaired or replaced under this warranty are warranted only for the duration of the original warranty period.
  • Note:Warranty rejected/replaced material is not refund to dealer/supplier to avoid or reused to maintain product quality.

  • Note:This warranty does not apply to proprietary parts of Indian origin like (but not limited to) tyres. This should be claimed directly by customers with the respective manufacturers or their dealership as the arrangements are in place. DIEV will not be liable to replace them, though their Service Partners give full assistance to avail the claims.

DIEV undertakes no liability in the matters of consequential/personal loss or damage caused to customers due to failure of any part of our products..

In case of any dispute the decision of DIEV is final and binding on all parties including service, retail partners and customers

3. Warranty Transfer

The aforementioned warranties shall remain in effect to the new owner, provided that the new owner submits the legal transfer documents of vehicle ownership along with original user manual and bill receipt from the authorized dealer/partner at the time of the warranty claim.

4. Remedies

In the event that a customer submits a warranty claim within the applicable warranty period to DIEV or an authorized DIEV dealer/partner, the customer must provide the original user manual and the bill receipt received at the time of vehicle delivery from the authorized dealer/partner. DIEV’s team will assess the validity of the warranty claim.

The authorized dealer is responsible for shipping the defective part or the entire vehicle to the location specified by DIEV. Should DIEV determine that the defective part is covered under the limited warranty, DIEV will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace the defective part at no cost to the customer. Conversely, if the defective part is not covered under the limited warranty, the customer will be responsible for the costs associated with the repair or replacement of the defective part.

5. Exclusions

  • This Warranty is subject to terms and conditions as follows,
  • The customer claiming the warranty, on detection of defect shall produce the Owner’s Manual at the time of claiming warranty to check the records and the failure of the vehicle to put on records in the Owner’s Manual.
  • This Warranty becomes automatically null & void if
    • Customer fails to prove that the vehicle was purchased from the DIEV or DIEV’s authorized dealer/partner.
    • Our product is water resistant not waterproof, if any damage is caused due to heavy water exposure like submergent, water leak then warranty will not be covered.
    • If any repair or modification on a vehicle is carried out by a person or persons other than DIEV or its service partners
    • Any vehicle on which periodical service is not done as stipulated in the user manual.
    • The battery warranty expressly excludes coverage for damage resulting from power surges, use of an improper charger, water damage, improper maintenance, misuse, or normal wear and tear.
    • Parts of vehicles are damaged due to improper use, negligence, or alteration etc. carried out by customers.
    • Failure/affect due to overloading or inappropriate loading if any shall not be entertained under our normal warranty policy.
    • If a vehicle is used in any competition or setting of record of any kind that invites stunts, product abuse and consequential damage to the product.
    • Vandalism or theft
    • Damage associated with commercial use or rental operation
    • Use of any other consumable including (but not limited to) oil, fluid, seals that are not sold or approved by DIEV.
    • Continued usage of the vehicle or warranted part(s) even after notifying customer(s) of mechanical or operational problem(s)
    • Vehicle or warranted parts involved in illegal activity(ies) under law.
    • Unforeseeable natural events or environmental elements, such as (but not limited to) earthquakes, war, terrorist activities, sunlight exposure, airborne pollutants, labor disputes, civil disturbances, freezing temperatures, organic matter from trees or insects, debris on roads (including stone fragments), industrial pollutants, railway residue, salt, hailstorms, floods, strong winds, acidic precipitation, fire, water-related harm, pollutants, lightning strikes, damage caused by animals or rodents, and similar environmental circumstances.
    • Exposing warranted part(s) to flame or water.
    • Failure to charge battery over a prolonged period of time.
    • Failure to report any defect or abnormal functionality of the warranted part(s) to DIEV or retail partners within fifteen (15) days from identification of abnormal functionality of warranted part(s) which might cause additional damage or cost to other warranted part(s).
    • Lifting/ Towing vehicle by incorrect method or from incorrect points of clamping/mounting.
    • Accident, collision or striking vehicle or warranted part(s).
    • Any modification or change in electrical circuit/wiring or attaching additional equipment or accessories to the vehicle or warranted part(s) not provided or approved by DIEV.
